Frequently Asked Questions: Product

The length of the treatment process and number of treatments required vary from person to person, depending on their skin and their goals. Start with an initial 8-week treatment programme, treating your skin 7 days a week. After this 8-week period, rest your skin for 4 weeks. If you wish to boost your results, complete the cycle again or until you have achieved your desired skin goals.
As with all beauty devices, they can have different effects on different people's skin. We highly recommend testing your device on your outer forearm at the treatment level you wish to use, before you treat your face. This will help you determine how suitable that level is for you. The device will likely cause a warm, prickling sensation, but the majority of users report that they become used to this after the first couple treatments. This is normal and not something to worry about. However, if you do have a reaction, such as blistering, pain or scabbing, do not use your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser. This type of reaction is very rare. For a full list of side effects, please consult your User Guide.
Our Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser technology is suitable for use on all skin types / tones and hair colours. The device should not be used by anyone under the age of 18, it has not been tested for safety on this age group. If you are pregnant, undergoing professional cosmetic treatments (such as a skin peel, laser resurfacing, filler injections or similar), have a significant skin or medical condition, you have unusually sensitive skin, your skin easily breaks out in a rash or has adverse reactions to beauty products, or if you are taking a medicine such as steroids, you should consult your doctor or a medical professional before you utilise the Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser. The Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser should also not be used on skin that contains permanent make-up, tattoos, or that is infected, burned or cut. For further advice on usage of the device, please consult your User Guide.
No. It is not safe to use your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser on or near tattoos. Use of the laser on tattoos could cause adverse side effects and serious injury.
Each full charge of your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser will give you around 30 minutes of treatment time, enough to last for 3 days of treatments on the highest setting.
Your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser is designed to be used on the face only. The FDA-clearance is based on facial use alone and we do not recommend using the device on any other body part, except for the top of your forearm, simply to test it on your skin before using it to treat your face.
We do not recommend you use your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser anywhere other than the specified treatment zones on your face. The FDA-clearance is based on facial use alone and we do not recommend using the device on any other body part, except for the top of your forearm, simply to test it on your skin before using it to treat your face.
No, your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser is designed for personal use only. We do not recommend sharing the device for hygiene reasons.
No, your Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser is only tested and FDA-cleared for use on adults aged 18 or over. It should not be used by or on anyone below the age of 18 as the side effects and results have not been studied for this group and could result in negative side effects or serious injury. If they are over the age of 18, it is not recommended for you to share your device with anyone for hygiene reasons.
Only Tria SmoothBeauty™ Lasers from 2024 or earlier need to be unlocked before they are used for the first time. To unlock these devices, please follow the instructions on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions: Technology

Yes, in-clinic laser resurfacing does hurt, particularly if it uses ablative lasers. However, the Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser features innovative at-home technology, offering clinical-grade skin rejuvenation results from the comfort of their home. The device features a non-ablative fractional laser which is non-invasive, producing a prickling, warm sensation, rather than a painful burning pain that can come from in-clinic treatments. This, combined with it only leaving your skin mildly red for around an hour, means it is a much easier alternative to in-clinic laser skin resurfacing treatments, with no down time needed to heal and no need to go to an expensive clinic.
We recommend a programme of treating your skin 7 days per week for 8 weeks, followed by 4 weeks of no treatments to give your skin time to fully heal. This is specific to the Tria SmoothBeauty™ Laser and treatment times and frequency will vary between methods and devices.

    Surprising product !!

I bought Tria for pigments on my face. I was wondering if I should buy the product or not for 1 year checking YouTube and other people. The first treat gave me a result and now after several treatments, I can see the pigments are smaller and the color has been getting off!! And my skin is happy :)!

    Love Tria laser

Great results in just a few weeks. Takes a bit to work up tolerance but once you do, you will really look forward to the treatments. Smooths out texture and lines, evens out skin tone. Even took care of bags under my eyes. Hope I can use forever!

really seeing results within short period

Start seeing results within a month. it was quiet noticeable that my skin is getting way less pimples and breakouts. It does dry out the skin a bit but but enhances the absorption of all skin care products.

    Faster Results than Microneedling

I'm a professional and work for long time with Microneedling and I tested a lot of Homeuse equipment . Microneedling work well, but Tria work faster. My Pigmentation are invisible , the texture of my skin are smooth, the fine lines om my forehead are much more less and my skin is fuller and more tighten. I'm very happy with my results in just 8 weeks.
